Updates: On Monday (Aug. 23), the Academy of Country Music revealed that Trace Adkins, Ronnie Dunn, Alan Jackson, and Brittney Spencer will round out the final lineup of performers and presenters for Wednesday’s ACM Honors ceremony. On Aug. 5, the ACM announced additional performers for the ceremony: Keith Urban, Toby Keith, Jessie Jo Dillon, Nicolle Galyon, Jamey Johnson, Jordan Reynolds, Laura Veltz, and Sam Williams. Host Carly Pearce is also slated to perform. Additionally, Chris Janson will present the ACM Industry and Studio Recording Awards, while special guests Trace Adkins and Sarah Trahern are scheduled to appear.
Original story: Country star Carly Pearce is slated to host the 14th annual Academy of Country Music Honors on Aug. 25 at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.
“I am humbled and excited to be hosting the 14th Annual Academy of Country Music Honors ceremony for the first time,” the “Next Girl” singer said in a statement. Joining the two-time ACM Award winner onstage will be Lauren Alaina, Devin Dawson, Sara Evans, Hardy, Chris Janson, Lady A, Ashley McBryde, Raelynn and Lee Ann Womack, with more performers to be announced in the coming weeks. The event is dedicated to winners of the 55th and 56th ACM Awards.
As previously reported, Hillary Lindsey — known for penning “Jesus, Take the Wheel,” among many other major country hits — will be honored with the songwriter of the year award, whileJay Joyce will receive the award for producer of the year for the fifth time.
