The 2021 Billboard Latin Music Awards are led by 22-time finalist Bad Bunny in 13 categories. He’s followed by Maluma with 11 nods, J Balvin with nine nods, and Karol G, Anuel AA, and Black Eyed Peas with eight each.

One of the night’s exciting awards is producer of the year, which includes finalists Mora, who’s behind some of Bad Bunny’s biggest hits; Ovy on the Drums, Karol G’s longtime producer; J Balvin’s go-to producer Sky Rompiendo; innovative newcomers Súbelo Neo; and renowned hitmaker Tainy. Last year, Tainy nabbed the award, and Chris Jeday in 2019.

Produced and broadcast live by Telemundo, the 2021 Billboard Latin Music Awards will take place Thursday, Sept. 23, at the Watsco Center in Coral Gables, Fla., kicking off at 7 p.m. ET with the one-hour red carpet special “La Alfombra de Premios Billboard,” followed by the three-hour Billboard Latin Music Awards.

The special event will coincide with Billboard Latin Music Week, returning to Miami from Sept. 20 to 25. The weeklong event celebrates Latin music, culture, and entertainment with exclusive performances, one-of-a-kind conversations, workshops, showcases, and on-the-ground consumer moments.
