Shakira has earned yet another No. 1 hit on the Latin Pop Airplay chart after her Cardi B-assisted “Puntería” debuted at the top of the tally this week. Part of Shak’s latest album, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, the feel-good pop song with flirty lyrics finds the two artists singing about a man who’s not good for them, but his game is so strong they’ve fallen for him.
Additionally, “Puntería” — also the set’s focus single — opened at No. 3 on the Hot Latin Songs chart, No. 1 on the Latin Digital Song Sales, and No. 1 on the Latin Airplay chart.
Her new banger continues to solidify Shakira’s record-holding placement on the Billboard charts. With 24 songs, the Colombian act has the most No. 1’s on the Latin Pop Airplay ranking among female artists.
Shak’s first No. 1 hit on the chart arrived in 1996 with “Estoy Aquí,” which topped the chart for four weeks. Her first longest-leading title arrived in 2001 with “Suerte,” which spent 14 weeks at No. 1. Twenty-two years later, she topped the charts for 14 weeks with her collaboration in Karol G’s 2023 hit “TQG.”
Other notable No. 1 hits include “La Tortura” with Alejandro Sanz; “Loba;” “La Bicicleta” with Carlos Vives; “Chantaje” with Maluma; the Bizarrap-produced “BZRP Music Sessions, Vol. 53;” and her Manuel Turizo-assisted “Copa Vacía”—all of which spent more than 10 weeks at the top.
