Smoke Bulga is Maybach Music Group’s (MMG) newest signee, and he has already dropped off a new single, “Water Whip’N,” to celebrate his new deal. Featuring the boss Rick Ross and produced by GGAlmighty, the song interpolates Black Rob’s infamous hit “Woah” and was released with an accompanying video which includes cameos from Fat Joe, N.O.R.E., and Jonathan Cheban.
“I’m honored to join the MMG family,” Bulga said. “It really feels like Draft Day because I’m teaming up with one of the best to ever do it in Rozay with one of the premier labels in hip-hop history. MMG has long represented excellence and I look forward to representing the new generation of MMG starting with this new ‘Water Whip’N’ release.”
The Boston native is joining a roster of hip-hop heavy weights such as Meek Mill and Wale, but he is no stranger to the MMG family and rap game in general. In 2010, Bulga previously collaborated with former MMG rapper Masspike Miles and Ross on the former’s song “We Made It.” Since then, he has maintained his relationship with Ross, inking a deal with the Boss’s label over a decade later. Bulga has also collaborated with Jim Jones, Conway the Machine and Statik Selektah.
“Smoke Bulga has potential to be a star,” said Ross. “I’ve seen him put in the work from afar and all he needed is the right opportunity, so I’m excited to welcome the homie to the MMG family.”
